NHS Pharmacy First

The new NHS Pharmacy First service means you can now get advice and treatment for selected common ailments direct from Tudor Pharmacy, without the need to see a GP.

The service covers the following conditions and includes providing prescription medicines where appropriate :

• Ear infection (Acute otitis media) – 1 to 17 years
• Impetigo – 1 year and over
• Infected insect bites – 1 year and over
• Shingles -18 years and over
• Sinusitis – 12 years and over
• Sore throat – 5 years and over
• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections – women 16 to 64 years

If you don’t fall within these age ranges, our pharmacist can still offer advice and recommendations for over the counter medicines, but you may need to see a GP for treatment.

If you come to Tudor Pharmacy with one of these conditions, we’ll offer you advice, treatment or refer you to a GP or other health professional if needed. We will also update your GP health record (your information will not be shared with anyone else).

Tudor Pharmacy have a private consultation area you can speak to our pharmacist without being overheard by other members of the public.
